Geneva, IL. USA - February 6, 2004 - The Security Certified Program today announced a new Authorized Training Partner, New Horizons Computer Learning Center of Syracuse, NY.

The Security Certified Program (SCP) develops and validates skills of information security professionals. The SCP is a two-level, vendor neutral security certification program that enables individuals to acquire skills and get certified as a Security Certified Network Professional (Level 1) or a Security Certified Network Architect (Level 2). The focus of Level One is on Defense, while Level Two concentrates on trusted communication and emerging security technologies like Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), biometrics, network forensics, and smartcards. To obtain certification within each level, students must pass two proficiency exams demonstrating their security knowledge.

The SCP is actively joining with leading training centers around the world to bring this program to a global audience.
